Just over a decade ago, former US Vice President Al Gore’s landmark 2006 documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, received widespread critical acclaim and brought unprecedented attention to the issue of climate change. Now, as An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power premiers more than a decade, the stakes are higher than ever – but the reasons for hope has never been greater. The film shows the gravest effects of the climate crisis all over the world, and the camera follows Al Gore at negotiations, high-level meetings, and the Paris Agreement. It also highlights the actions of Climate Reality Leaders in the years since the first film and sent a message that we can’t stop now. Climate Reality India, in partnership with the Centre for Environment Communication and PVR Nest, has organised a special screening of An Inconvenient Sequel in PVR Cinema for august environmentalists and educators.
