CEC conducted the final evaluation of the project “Healthy Future for Delhi’ Dweller in Plan Program Areas, Delhi”. The end line assessment was conducted keeping in view the project goals, activities and achievements. The research methodology and approach included a mix of quantitative and qualitative research tools such as FGDs and in-depth discussions with various stakeholders (e.g. households, SHGs entrepreneurs groups, govt. functionaries, private doctors, teachers, children, child councils, parent teacher associations (PTAs). Through Probability Proportional to Size (PPS) method, 1293 households were selected for the study. Approximately 56 in-depth discussions were conducted with all other stakeholders. The evaluation was conducted in three slum project areas in Delhi — Holambi Kalan, Madanpur Khadar and Rangpur Pahari. Since 2013, Plan India has been conducting various awareness activities such as start up workshop, selection of entrepreneurs and forming Self Help Groups (SHGs). The flagship activity was planning and conducting awareness campaign in the project areas on ‘Safe Drinking Water at Affordable prices’ through various innovative activities and tools. This project has been implemented by Plan India, Plan Netherlands and Basic Water Needs (BWN), Bal Vikas Dhara (BVD), Nav Srishti and Community Aid & Sponsorship Programme (CASP).
